Armin tries to touch Annie’s crystal in the underground chamber, but Hitch stops him and teases him about his obvious feelings for Annie. The two then talk as they walk through the military district, where Armin notices growing unrest and the tense atmosphere around the soldiers.

Outside headquarters, a crowd protests the military’s secrecy and demands answers about Eren’s detention. Inside, Hange and Pyxis question Yelena, who admits that she met secretly with Eren months earlier and says she did it because the military was wasting time debating while events were moving too quickly. She insists she acted on her own and explains that she only wanted to convey the urgency of the situation to him.

Pyxis has her account written down and begins treating the information as a serious security issue. Hange, meanwhile, is suspicious that Yelena may be connected to larger plans and wants to examine the placement and treatment of Marleyan prisoners and labor assignments.

At military headquarters, Mikasa and Armin speak with Premier Zachary, who reveals that he has also been informed about Yelena’s secret meeting with Eren. He does not allow them to see Eren, and it becomes clear that the military has made decisions about him without telling them.

Moments later, a bomb explodes in Zachary’s office, killing him and others nearby. The attack is carried out by people inside the military who support Eren, and the chaos outside the building quickly turns into open celebration among Eren’s followers.

In the aftermath, the situation on Paradis shifts sharply: Eren’s supporters openly defect, the military tightens security, and Pyxis realizes that Eren’s connection to Zeke has become a crucial point of leverage. Hange concludes that the attack was likely not a random outburst, but part of a larger plan already set in motion.
