Full recap

In *Breaking Bad* Episode 31 ("Abiquiu"), Skyler White actively joins Walter’s criminal operation by taking over money laundering at a car wash, while Jesse Pinkman’s attempt to sell stolen meth at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting leads him to bond with a new member, Andrea Cantillo, and uncover a shocking connection to his late friend Combo’s murder.

The episode opens with a **flashback** to Jesse and his then-girlfriend Jane Margolis visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, where they debate the meaning of her painting *My Last Door* before Jane concludes O’Keeffe was simply trying to make a good feeling last. In the **present**, Hank Schrader struggles with frustrating and painful physical therapy while Marie gives Skyler the bill to pay, as previously discussed. Walter attempts to pay with drug money, but Skyler insists the source must be "**unimpeachable**". Walter takes her to meet **Saul Goodman**, who handles his money laundering; Skyler is repelled by Saul’s flippant personality and his plan to buy a **laser tag facility**. Instead, she suggests investing in the **car wash** where Walt previously worked, and despite Saul’s objections, she offers to manage it, adopting the alias "**Danny**" to launder the money.

Meanwhile, in the superlab, Walt supervises Jesse cooking and then takes over weighing a meth batch, offending Jesse who claims if Walt thinks he’s stealing, he should say it outright. Walt later warns Jesse to stop **skimming** from their product, a claim Jesse denies while showing his annoyance at Walt’s distrust. Jesse takes his stolen meth to **Badger Mayhew** and **Skinny Pete** to sell at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting, but they refuse to sell to recovering addicts. To prove how easily addicts can be tempted, Jesse strikes up a conversation with newcomer **Andrea Cantillo**, who admits she didn’t want to be there. Jesse becomes **attracted** to Andrea, and she invites him to her home, where he discovers she has a son, **Brock**. From Brock, Jesse learns Andrea has a pre-teen brother, **Tomás**, though she initially refuses to discuss him. Andrea later suggests using meth, but Jesse declines after learning she has a child. Andrea insists she wants to prevent Brock from following Tomás’s path, revealing that Tomás **shot a rival dealer** as part of a drug gang initiation. Jesse recognizes this story matches details of **Combo’s murder** from months prior.

Later, **Gus Fring** invites Walt to his home for a private dinner, telling Walt he regrets not having a mentor and warning him never to make the same mistake twice. The next day, Jesse travels to the corner where Combo was killed and confirms **Tomás is working for dealers** selling **blue meth**, suggesting their connection to Gus. An enraged Jesse quietly walks away.
