FROM Episode 29: Revelations: Chapter One

Boyd and Ellis search the forest for Fatima after realizing she is missing and that she took the Talisman with her. As they argue over whether to keep searching in the dark, Boyd suddenly starts shaking badly and becomes unable to walk, forcing Ellis to help him back.

Back in the root cellar, Elgin returns with supplies to make Fatima more comfortable and insists that he is not imprisoning her, only protecting her. Fatima begs to be let go, says she saw the Kimono Woman, and warns that whatever is inside her is not normal, pointing to Tillie’s death as proof. Elgin dismisses her fear, saying the baby was frightened and that she was not feeding it, then helps her back to bed when the pain becomes too severe for her to stand.

Elgin tries to reassure Fatima that everything will be fine and that they will all be able to go home soon. He explains that finding out she was pregnant triggered the dream that led him to the idea that Boyd could be saved from the Music Box Monster, and he treats that as proof the baby is important. Fatima resists at first, but eventually lets Elgin feed her jarred blood.

At the same time, the town is in crisis over Fatima’s disappearance, and Boyd rallies people to search for her. Other townspeople deal with their own problems as the episode moves between several threads: Donna promises Acosta answers, Boyd asks Kenny to take over for him, Jade offers Henry advice about Victor, and Tabitha continues to experience strange visions.

Victor is shown struggling with guilt and fear after recent revelations, and he becomes focused on the Farway Tree. He takes an axe and heads into the woods intending to cut it down, but the Boy in White appears and stops him.

The episode also follows Tabitha as she is drawn toward the forest and ends up at the root cellar, where she finds Victor already below ground. As she tries to calm him, she is hit by a powerful vision or memory involving Miranda and the children, including a painful glimpse of Miranda’s final moments, which sends her fleeing in tears.
