FROM Episode 34: Of Myths and Monsters

Season 4· aired 2026-05-10

An ominous discovery puts Boyd and his trusted circle on high alert; Julie searches for a way to harness her newfound abilities and Sara is once again tortured by the voices in her head.

Full recap

Boyd, Donna, Tabitha, Jade, Ellis, and Henry gather at the sheriff’s station around the yellow suit that has been found, and Henry explains that Miranda painted what she saw, including a man in that suit. Boyd and the others question whether this is the same figure Victor recognized, and Ellis asks the obvious question: if the suit is here, where is the person who wears it?

The discovery leads into a larger discussion about Victor’s fear and what he may have seen, with the group treating the suit as evidence that the town is dealing with something real and not just another strange story.

Donna and Boyd also talk about Jade’s mushrooms and whether it makes sense to use them in the hope of getting answers from whatever is haunting the woods. Boyd admits he is not comfortable with it, but he is also exhausted by the endless cycle of death and uncertainty in town.

At Colony House, Kenny notices water dripping onto the floor and follows it upstairs to Fatima. There, he finds her working with mud and shaping something in secret, which makes it clear she has been doing something unsettling and hidden from everyone else.

Sara and Sophia have a tense conversation when Sophia is reading the priest’s letters and Sara comes in wanting to talk. Sara assumes Kenny has told Sophia what she did, and the exchange makes clear that Sara is still being haunted by what she has done and by the way others now see her.

Meanwhile, Henry stays close to Victor as Victor continues to react badly to the suit and what it represents. The episode keeps Victor’s fear at the center of the mystery, with Henry trying to understand what the painting and the clothing mean in relation to Victor’s memories.

Elsewhere, Julie, Randall, and Ethan are focused on the town’s books and stories, trying to make sense of the strange rules around the place and the powers Julie is beginning to explore. Julie’s attempts to understand how to use what she can do become a major thread in the episode.

By the end of the episode, the town’s different problems all point in the same direction: the suit, Victor’s fear, Fatima’s secret behavior, Sara’s guilt, and Julie’s growing abilities all suggest that the residents are uncovering pieces of a larger pattern they still do not understand.
