Rhaenyra visits Helaena in the Red Keep after becoming interested in her visions, and Helaena answers her calmly but cryptically. Helaena has a dream of leaving the castle through open gates and sunlight, but wakes back in her room when Rhaenyra appears at her bedside.
Elsewhere, Aemond is brought out to meet an apparent assassin, Ser Adrian, who has been sent to kill him. Daemon searches for Rhaena and nearly has her killed by Sheepstealer, but the confrontation turns chaotic when the dragon attacks and then escapes after being injured. Rhaenyra gets Rhaena onto Syrax and flies off, with Addam following behind. Daemon orders Caraxes to kill Sheepstealer, but the wounded dragon gets away.
