One-Punch Man Episode 20: The Strong Ones Fight Back

The tournament’s closing ceremony begins after Saitama’s match with Suiryu, and the announcer praises Suiryu for winning the competition without a scratch. Suiryu, however, is left uneasy, wondering what would have happened if Saitama had not intentionally held back.

Before the ceremony can finish, emergency announcements suddenly report that monsters have appeared around the arena. Attendees are told to stay inside for safety, and the tournament is thrown into chaos.

Elsewhere in Z-City, the Hero Association has sent **Spring Mustachio** and **Golden Ball** to investigate reports of monster activity in the outskirts. The two heroes move through an eerily deserted area and discuss how monster sightings in the city have been increasing over the years. As they search, they sense something nearby and come face to face with a strange monster covered in long green tendrils, **Kombu Infinity**.

Golden Ball attacks first, but his shot is casually deflected. Kombu Infinity then grabs him through the pavement, drags him into a building, and knocks him out of the fight. Spring Mustachio steps in and successfully parries Kombu Infinity’s attacks, then launches his Tomboy technique, but the monster dodges it. Realizing he is outmatched, Spring Mustachio calls for backup.

Kombu Infinity explains that he came to the area because of rumors that powerful monsters were gathering in Z-City’s outskirts, but he has now decided to become the rumored monster himself instead. Reinforcements are dispatched, and **Blue Fire** heads out after hearing Spring Mustachio’s call. Even so, Spring Mustachio is eventually defeated, leaving Kombu Infinity disappointed that there is no one left to fight. He changes his mind again and decides to head toward a populated area.

Before he can get there, he runs into Saitama and is quickly defeated. Later, Saitama is shown at home cooking kombu soup, having spared the monster’s life and only taken its kombu-like body hair. Genos mentions a rumor that eating the hair will not make a person’s hair grow, and Saitama immediately flies into a rage.
