Full recap
Bellick and Geary ambush Michael, Lincoln, and Nika on the road and force them off the highway while looking for Westmoreland’s hidden money. Bellick holds the three at gunpoint, orders Geary to go get a replacement tire, and keeps Michael’s group trapped while he tries to pressure them into leading him to the cash.
Michael initially thinks Bellick is after the reward money, but Bellick reveals that he wants the five million dollars Westmoreland hid in Utah. Lincoln manages to buy time by using a shard of glass to damage the other car’s tire, leaving Geary stuck with the job of finding a new one while Bellick stays behind with the fugitives. During the standoff, Nika starts bargaining with Bellick, offering to help turn Michael over in exchange for a share of the money for herself, Bellick, and Geary.
Elsewhere, T-Bag continues traveling by car after getting a ride from a father and his teenage daughter. The ride turns tense when T-Bag is recognized as dangerous, and the situation escalates into a confrontation at a gas station before he keeps moving by pretending to be a Marine who lost a hand in Iraq. He later continues his flight under a false identity, still trying to stay ahead of the law.
Tweener keeps driving with Debra Jean, and the two stop at a motel to rest. Their trip is calm on the surface, but Tweener remains uneasy as they continue traveling together.
Abruzzi reunites with his wife and children and appears ready to flee the country with them. However, after learning that Fibonacci is in a motel, he changes course and goes after revenge instead of leaving with his family. His pursuit leads him into a trap set by the FBI, and he is killed when agents open fire after he draws his weapon.
At the same time, Mahone closes in on the fugitives and gets confirmation related to Michael and Lincoln’s supposed deaths after the car explosion. He also follows a separate lead that brings him closer to another fugitive. In the end, he succeeds in catching up to one of his targets.
Sara, meanwhile, is in rehabilitation when she is approached by a man introducing himself as Lance, who is actually Kellerman in disguise. He works his way into her confidence while she receives a phone call she has been waiting for. The call is from Michael, who apologizes and tells her he has a way to protect her using something she already has.
