Michael and Lincoln are caught by Border Patrol in New Mexico just as Mahone closes in, preventing Mahone from killing them on the spot. They are taken to a holding facility, where Bill Kim orders Mahone to have them killed during transport back to Fox River, but the plan unravels when the convoy is forced to stop in a tunnel and Michael and Lincoln escape into the service passages; at the end of the chase, Kellerman shoots Mahone and sides with the brothers instead.
Sucre reaches Mexico after crossing the border by parachute. T-Bag, meanwhile, steals a veteran’s prosthetic hand in Kansas, then uses it to charm a postal worker named Denise into helping him track down Susan Hollander’s address; when Denise realizes who he is, he kills her and goes to Susan’s home.
Bellick is denied bail, then strikes a deal that sends him to Fox River expecting better treatment, only to learn the new warden intends to make an example of him. He ends the episode imprisoned there under harsh conditions.
