Prison Break Episode 44: Sona

Michael is trapped in Panama as Mahone holds Lincoln hostage and demands the yacht and the money, forcing Michael into a race to save his brother. In the United States, Paul Kellerman takes the stand at Sara’s trial, gives self-incriminating testimony, and produces documents that clear Sara and Lincoln of the charges against them.

Mahone tries to use the situation to his advantage, but his plan collapses when Michael refuses to hand over the money and Mahone is forced to flee as armed authorities close in. Mahone is arrested, and Kellerman, expecting retaliation for what he has revealed, is attacked while being transported after the trial.

Meanwhile, Michael’s allies and enemies converge in Panama. A local man named Chaco leads Michael toward a chance at a boat, and Michael and Lincoln briefly believe they may be able to escape with the money and disappear.

That hope is interrupted when Sara arrives by boat, bringing Lincoln the news that the charges against him have been dropped. Almost immediately after, Bill Kim appears with armed men, refuses the money, and threatens Lincoln; Sara shoots him before police arrive and the group is trapped.

Michael then makes a desperate choice. He grabs the gun, pretends to take Sara hostage, and allows himself to be arrested so the others can avoid further immediate danger. He is taken away and ends the episode locked inside Sona.

The episode also shows other plot threads moving forward: Sucre is badly wounded while trying to get information about Maricruz from Bellick, and Bellick remains imprisoned with T-Bag.
