Prison Break Episode 78: Rate of Exchange

Michael and Mahone are trying to figure out how to save **both Lincoln and Sara** while still keeping **Scylla** out of Christina’s hands. Michael initially insists that he will find a way to rescue everyone, but Mahone pushes him to prioritize Lincoln first.

At the shipping yard, Michael prepares a box of homemade explosives as part of a trap for Christina. Mahone argues that Michael should simply give Scylla to Christina so that everyone can survive, including the people Christina is threatening elsewhere.

The situation breaks open into separate, urgent rescue missions. Christina is holding Lincoln at gunpoint and has already shot him in the lung, while Krantz is keeping Sara captive and demanding Scylla as ransom. Michael tries to outmaneuver Christina with a deception involving the explosive device, but the plan does not work as intended and an innocent driver is injured in the blast instead.

Michael then shifts focus to Sara’s rescue. He sneaks in to reach her while T-Bag is guarding her, and he gets to her in time to stop further harm. At the same time, Mahone follows through on the diversion against Christina, which helps create the opening needed to save Lincoln.

While all of this is happening, Lincoln tells Michael that Sara is pregnant. That revelation changes Michael’s priorities and deepens his determination to protect both her and Lincoln.

A separate thread brings back familiar allies from Michael’s past, including Sucre and C-Note, as the larger effort to resolve the Scylla crisis continues. Self is also caught in the fallout: he is found in hospital, tortured for information, and ends up getting an immunity deal.

The episode ends with the situation still tense but moving toward resolution, as Michael continues trying to balance the rescue of Sara and Lincoln with the fate of Scylla.
