Prison Break Episode 81: Kaniel Outis

Michael is still imprisoned in Ogygia under the name **Kaniel Outis**, and he spends the episode pushing forward with an escape plan while the outside world begins closing in around him. At the same time, Lincoln, C-Note, and Sheba search for the “Sheik of Light,” while Sara follows a lead about Michael’s sudden reappearance and ends up confronting evidence that suggests he has become a wanted terrorist.

Inside Ogygia, Michael and his cellmate **Whip** wait for a signal that should let them escape, but it does not come, so the attempt stalls for the time being. Michael then fakes a fever by soaking clothing in boiling water so he can be taken to the infirmary, with Whip helping him carry out the ruse. Along the way, the guards beat him and give him pills, which Michael secretly keeps in his mouth. He later trades those pills to his cellmate **Ja**, who is suffering from withdrawal, in exchange for access to a cell phone and a credit card number.

Outside prison, Michael has already sent a message to Lincoln and C-Note directing them to meet the **Sheik of Light**, a local electrical engineer who can help with the escape plan. Lincoln, C-Note, and Sheba travel into the Sana’a suburbs, which are controlled by ISIS/ISIL, in order to find him. They rescue the Sheik and his daughter from danger, and the Sheik is revealed to be the father of Michael’s fellow inmate **Sid**, who has been imprisoned for homosexuality. After that rescue, the Sheik agrees to cooperate and prepares to help with the power outage needed for the prison break.

Back in Ogygia, the episode shows the larger escape scheme coming into focus as the prison’s dangerous inmates are moved into the general population. The leader **Abu Ramal** confronts Michael, staring him down before embracing him, revealing that he is part of the escape plan as well. The Sheik then begins flickering the lights to signal that the plan is moving forward, and the episode makes clear that a blackout is being set up as the key to the breakout.

Meanwhile, Sara investigates Michael’s resurfacing and meets with **Paul Kellerman** at the U.S. State Department. Kellerman shows her what appears to be a video of Michael killing a CIA director, reinforcing the idea that Michael is now being connected to serious terrorist activity. Sara also realizes that her son **Mike** is missing at school, but later finds him hiding after receiving an origami rose from a pizza delivery man, who tells her to hide everyone because a storm is coming.
