Attack on Titan Episode 11: Icon: The Battle for Trost (7)
Plans are made to use Eren's Titan powers to seal the hole in the wall in an attempt reclaim Trost. But with the government's bloodstained history and vocal dissenters in the military ranks, the biggest threat to humankind may not be the Titans.
Full recap
Commander Pyxis rallies the demoralized soldiers and cadets atop the wall in Trost, announcing a bold plan to retake the district by using a massive boulder in the city to seal the breached gate in Wall Rose. Many troops, including Daz, panic and begin deserting, with Daz drawing his sword in despair until Marco Bodt intervenes; a nearby officer threatens execution, but Pyxis confronts the rout directly, questioning if they wish to lose to the Titans and declaring his own resolve to defeat them all.
Pyxis inspires the group, appoints the reluctant Ian to lead the operation with encouragement, and assembles an elite Garrison squad including Diet, Rico Brzenska, and Mitabi Jarnach to escort Eren to the boulder while other soldiers distract the Titans. Armin exchanges final words with Eren, urging him not to die, as the squad advances along the shortest route, finding it clear of Titans; Rico reminds Eren that soldiers are individuals with names, families, and feelings, emphasizing his responsibility to make their potential deaths meaningful.
Pyxis addresses the watching soldiers, proclaiming success as humanity's first victory over the Titans. As Eren's group reaches the boulder, Eren bites his hand to transform into his Titan form, but instead of lifting the rock, he immediately turns and attacks Mikasa, throwing her aside and sending the soldiers into disarray.
