Attack on Titan Episode 13: Primal Desires: The Battle for Trost (9)

The episode opens with Jean trapped on the ground amid Titans, desperately grabbing ODM gear from a nearby corpse to escape. Marco, Connie, and Annie arrive to rescue him, with Annie dramatically sliding down a Titan's face like a sled to save him from being eaten.

Elite soldiers, including Rico's squad, fiercely defend Eren in his Titan form as he drags a massive boulder toward the breached wall in Trost. Rico's squad is wiped out except for her and one female soldier, who retreat while witnessing more Titans approaching; Rico declares their comrades did not die in vain.

Soldiers continue sacrificing themselves as live bait to distract Titans from Eren, with casualties mounting until only a handful remain. Ian Dietrich grabs a soldier from a Titan's mouth but is devoured, his head bitten off in front of Mikasa and Armin.

Rico charges a Titan blocking Eren's path, slicing its eye, while Mikasa finishes it off. Eren reaches the breach, encouraged by Armin, and successfully drops the boulder to seal the hole.

With Eren unconscious and exposed, partially fused to the Titan body, Mikasa rushes to him as more Titans close in. Rico cuts Eren free from the Titan remains, but two Titans lunge at them—only to be swiftly slain by a mysterious soldier on ODM gear.

The Scout Regiment arrives to help clear remaining Titans. Later, during cleanup, cadets handle corpses; Jean discovers Marco's body, eaten diagonally in half, with no one witnessing his death.

Some time after, Eren awakens imprisoned in a cell under the watch of Commander Erwin and Captain Levi, who accepts him into the Scouts.
