Full recap

Walter White misses the birth of his daughter, Holly, to complete a drug deal with Gus Fring, securing $1.2 million in cash for his family. Upon arriving at the hospital, he learns that Ted Beneke drove Skyler there and meets his newborn daughter and wife, though he is unable to tell anyone about the money. Meanwhile, Jesse Pinkman discovers his apartment has been searched by Walt; after finding phone messages Walt left, he realizes Walt took his share of the money from their last deal. Jesse confronts Walt at his classroom, demanding his $480,000, but Walt refuses, insisting he will only pay Jesse once he is clean from drugs.

Jesse and his girlfriend Jane Margolis begin using heroin again in Jesse’s apartment; while passing out, Jesse tells Jane he is owed $480,000 and complains about Walt. Jane’s father, Donald, calls her about missing a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and waits outside; when Jane emerges from Jesse’s door, Donald barges in, finds heroin evidence, and threatens to call the police unless Jane agrees to enter rehab the next morning. Jane blackmails Walt by threatening to expose Jesse’s drug use unless he pays Jesse immediately.

Walter Jr. launches a website to collect donations for Walt’s cancer treatment, which Saul Goodman identifies as a perfect method to launder Walt’s cash. Walt delivers the $480,000 to Jesse and Jane, who are ecstatic and discuss getting clean, though they still feel tempted to use their remaining heroin. Walt goes to a bar to unwind and unknowingly sits next to Donald, who expresses frustration about his daughter’s addiction and urges Walt to help her stay clean.

Motivated by Donald’s words, Walt returns to Jesse’s apartment to speak with him but finds Jesse and Jane passed out from heroin use. While attempting to wake Jesse, Walt inadvertently knocks Jane onto her back; she begins choking on her own vomit and dies as Walt stands by, watching without intervening.
