Breaking Bad Episode 2: Cat's in the Bag...

Walt and Jesse return the RV to Jesse’s house, where they discover that one of the two drug dealers they poisoned—Krazy-8—is still alive and breathing inside, despite inhaling the toxic phosphine gas. The next day, Walt spots a disheveled Krazy-8 staggering down the street; when Krazy-8 recognizes Walt and tries to flee, he crashes into a tree and collapses. Walt loads the unconscious man into his car trunk and brings him to Jesse’s house, where they restrain Krazy-8 to a pole in the basement using a bike lock.

Walt proposes dissolving Emilio’s corpse in hydrofluoric acid, but they realize they must also kill Krazy-8. To decide who handles each task, they flip a coin: Jesse wins and chooses to dispose of the body, leaving Walt to kill Krazy-8. Walt instructs Jesse to buy a polyethylene bin large enough to hold the corpse, but Jesse cannot find one big enough. Meanwhile, Walt attempts to asphyxiate Krazy-8 with a plastic bag but fails to go through with it.

Jesse, ignoring Walt’s instructions, decides to dissolve Emilio’s body in the upstairs bathtub instead. The hydrofluoric acid eats through the ceramic and metal tub along with the body, causing the ceiling below to collapse and spill Emilio’s liquified remains into the hallway. Walt, exasperated, tells Jesse that hydrofluoric acid dissolves many materials but not polyethylene.

At home, Walt’s wife Skyler becomes suspicious of his strange behavior after Jesse calls their house pretending to be a salesman. She tracks Jesse down using reverse phone lookup and confronts Walt, who claims Jesse is his marijuana supplier. Skyler then visits Jesse’s house, where Krazy-8 is trapped in the basement, and threatens Jesse to stay away from Walt or she’ll reveal his drug dealings to her brother-in-law. Walt returns to the house but still cannot muster the courage to kill Krazy-8, instead giving him water and a bologna sandwich. The episode ends with the ceiling collapse at Jesse’s house and Walt still unable to carry out his task.
