Breaking Bad Episode 26: Sunset

Walter White begins working in a pristine new laboratory with an enthusiastic assistant named Gale Boetticher, where he cooks methamphetamine using high-end equipment and feels a renewed sense of scientific pride. Meanwhile, Jesse Pinkman shows his blue meth to his friends Badger and Skinny Pete, recruiting them to join his new drug operation and promising they won’t make the same mistakes that led to Combo’s death.

Hank Schrader, now obsessively tracking Jesse due to his connection to Combo, learns from Marie that Walt previously knew Jesse and might know about Jesse’s old RV. Hank calls Walt to ask if Jesse owns an RV; Walt immediately realizes the DEA is closing in on the vehicle and panics, knowing he must destroy it before Hank finds it.

The Mexican Cousins arrive at Los Pollos Hermanos and sit impatiently in a booth, angry that Gus Fring continues delaying their plan to kill Walt.

Walt drives to a lot where Clovis is repairing the RV while talking with Badger. Walt tells Clovis the DEA is searching for the RV and they need to get rid of it. Clovis suggests Old Joe, a scrapyard owner who can destroy the RV without questions. Badger calls Jesse to tell him Walt plans to destroy the RV; Jesse rushes to the scrapyard, and Hank follows him.

At the scrapyard, Walt and Jesse attempt to destroy the RV while Hank watches from nearby. The situation becomes a tense cat-and-mouse game as Hank nearly catches both men inside the RV. Old Joe intervenes, using his knowledge of the Fourth Amendment to delay Hank, while Saul Goodman’s secretary Francesca calls Hank pretending Marie is in the hospital.

Hank leaves the scrapyard and rushes to the hospital, only to receive a call from Marie confirming she is fine—revealing the hospital call was a fake. Hank is furious and embarrassed, while Walt and Jesse successfully destroy the RV, eliminating all evidence inside it.
