Full recap
In "One Minute," Hank Schrader violently assaults Jesse Pinkman after being tricked into believing his wife is hospitalized, leading Jesse to file a lawsuit that threatens Hank's DEA career, while the Cousins execute a brutal parking lot shootout with Hank that ends with one Cousin dead and Hank unconscious from massive blood loss.
**Hank Attacks Jesse** Furious that he was deceived into thinking his wife was in the hospital, Hank drives to Jesse's house and attacks him as he opens the door. Hank knocks Jesse out cold, punching him in the face until he is unconscious and bleeding on the floor. Realizing he has gone too far, Hank stops himself and calls for an ambulance. As paramedics take Jesse away, ASAC Merkert approaches Hank and advises him to talk to a lawyer.
**Jesse's Reaction and Walt's Attempt** At the hospital, Walt visits Jesse's room but finds Saul Goodman already there, eager to sue the police for brutality. Jesse declares he will destroy Hank's life, plans to start cooking meth on his own again, and will give up Walt if he gets caught. Meanwhile, Walt tries to pacify Jesse and convince him to return as his cooking partner.
**Hank's Consequences at the DEA** Hank makes a statement about a prior incident at a junkyard but invokes the Fifth Amendment regarding his actions at Jesse's house. Detectives photograph his bruised knuckles for the record as Jesse files charges. After leaving the office, Hank meets Marie at the elevator; she holds him as he sobs on the ride down, and they compose themselves before reaching the lobby. When Hank refuses to fraudulently amend his statement to protect the agency, Merkert suspends him without pay, forcing him to surrender his gun and badge.
**The Cousins' Assassination Attempt** Meanwhile, the Cousins plot Hank's assassination and engage him in a shootout in a parking lot. Marco, one of the Cousins, decides to kill Hank with his axe and retrieves it from his car. Hank arduously loads a nearby hollow-point bullet into Leonel's gun and fires a gunshot to Marco's head, killing him before he can swing the axe. Marco's axe lands next to Hank, who falls unconscious from massive blood loss.
