Breaking Bad Episode 45: End Times

After receiving an anonymous warning from Saul Goodman that **Hank Schrader** has been targeted by a drug cartel, the **DEA** dispatches agents to guard Hank and **Marie Schrader**'s home, and the **White family** is brought there for protection. **Walter White** insists he stay behind at his own house to face the consequences of his actions alone, confiding in **Skyler** that he believes he is the real target. While the family is in protective custody, Hank deduces that his investigation into **Gus Fring** is the reason for the threat and asks **Steven Gomez** to search the industrial **laundromat**; Gomez and his partner photograph the exterior but fail to find the secret entrance to the superlab.

Downstairs in the lab, **Jesse Pinkman** and **Tyrus** remain quiet while Gus tries again to convince Jesse to kill Walter, but Jesse refuses to cook if Walter is harmed. Later, **Saul Goodman** gives Jesse his entire share of the meth profits before fleeing Albuquerque temporarily. Jesse then receives a call from **Andrea Cantillo** that her son, **Brock Cantillo**, is seriously ill in the hospital. At the hospital, Jesse discovers the **ricin cigarette** he kept to poison Gus is missing and concludes Brock ingested it.

Jesse confronts a paranoid Walter at the Whites' house, grabbing Walter's gun and accusing him of poisoning Brock out of spite. Walter claims **Gus** must have framed him, speculating that lab cameras spotted the cigarette, Tyrus took it from Jesse's locker, tracked Brock, and poisoned him to manipulate Jesse. Walter and Jesse recall that Gus is not above killing children, citing the death of Andrea's younger brother, **Tomás**, and Jesse ultimately decides Walter is innocent. The two team up to kill Gus.

Jesse refuses to leave the hospital, ruining the latest meth cook, and tells Tyrus to get Gus to come down in person. When Gus arrives, Walter plants a **homemade bomb** under Gus' car and watches from a nearby rooftop to detonate it. However, Gus enters the hospital but **does not re-enter his car**, leaving Walter defeated as the bomb fails to detonate.
