Full recap
Members of the Hashira from the Demon Slayer Corps arrive on Mount Natagumo. Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, swiftly slays the father Spider Demon with a single sword stroke.
Inosuke, thrilled by Giyu's superior swordsmanship, challenges him to a duel, boasting about his own victory over a Twelve Kizuki and declaring his intent to surpass him. Giyu dismisses him, advising more training, then ties the protesting Inosuke to a tree before leaving.
Meanwhile, Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, finds the severely poisoned Zenitsu near death and administers an antidote, praising his slowed breathing that helped preserve him.
Down the mountain, a rescue team aids the wounded and deceased Demon Slayers.
Rui, the Lower Moon Five Spider Demon, observes Nezuko's transformation and her protection of Tanjiro, noting the rare sight of a younger sibling shielding the elder; envious, he tasks his "daughter" demon with killing the Demon Slayers, promising forgiveness upon success, and she departs.
Rui addresses Tanjiro, moved by his sibling bond, and offers to spare his life if he surrenders Nezuko. Tanjiro refuses; Rui yanks threads to seize Nezuko, dangling her before Tanjiro and reminding him of the deal.
Nezuko claws at Rui's face in defiance; he flings threads at approaching Tanjiro, then strings Nezuko high in the trees with deep cuts across her body.
Rui's "sister" demon arrives, shocked as Nezuko emerges from her box to shield Tanjiro from Rui's inescapable multi-thread web attack. Rui realizes they are true siblings and grows jealous of their bond, contrasting his forced "family."
His "mother" demon begs Nezuko to save Tanjiro; Nezuko, initially asleep to conserve energy, awakens and activates her Blood Demon Art, igniting her blood into explosions that shatter the webs binding her and snap the threads aimed at Tanjiro.
Tanjiro's sword breaks against Rui's threads; unable to land a decisive blow despite closing in with Water Breathing Tenth Form, he faces Rui's compressed, blood-infused web with no escape, his life flashing before him.
Recalling his father's words from childhood to consolidate his breath into the "God of Fire," Tanjiro unleashes a new technique resembling a fiery dance from his family's Hinokami Kagura ritual, combining elements of his training, pushing through in one continuous motion to avoid immobilization.
Rushing through Nezuko's explosion amid Rui's confusion, Tanjiro slashes Rui's neck with his broken blade coated in her ignited blood, which amplifies the strike and severs the Lower Moon Five's head.
