Full recap

Tanjiro wakes up after being comatose for a month following a battle with Upper Six demons, finding himself at the Butterfly Mansion alongside Zenitsu and Inosuke, who are recovering from their injuries. Aoi arrives to begin their rehabilitation training, taking a reluctant Tanjiro and Inosuke first while Zenitsu stays behind, terrified of what's to come.

That night, Tanjiro and Inosuke return exhausted and collapse into bed without a word, heightening Zenitsu's fear for his turn the next day. The trio then endures the first phase: a grueling stretching and massage session led by Aoi and three small girls named Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho, which is so painful that Inosuke cries through his boar mask while Zenitsu blissfully enjoys the girls' touch.

Next comes the reflex training against Kanao, where participants face off over cups on a table, dodging or grabbing them before the opponent splashes water or strikes; Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu repeatedly fail to beat her superhuman speed. Inosuke and Zenitsu eventually give up in frustration, but Tanjiro persists, noticing Kanao's different eyes and scent as he ponders how to win.

The three small girls advise Tanjiro to master **Total Concentration Breathing** constantly—at all hours, even while sleeping—to match elite slayers like the Hashira and Kanao, explaining it dramatically boosts strength and reflexes. Tanjiro resolves to try despite the exhaustion, training alone over the next fifteen days inside the Butterfly Mansion while Inosuke and Zenitsu mope.

Feeling much stronger, Tanjiro encounters Shinobu, who praises his sincere heart and reveals she brought them there because she wants him to inherit her dream of humans and demons coexisting, inspired by her late sister's similar view.
