Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 23: Hashira Meeting

The episode opens at the Hashira meeting, where the Corps leader, Lord Oyakata, addresses the gathered Hashira, noting that demons are growing stronger and encroaching further into human lives.

Tanjiro remains restrained as Nezuko emerges sweating from her box at the sight of blood; she stares at the Wind Hashira, Sanemi, who has slashed his own arm to taunt her. Tanjiro breaks free and rushes to protect her, while the Serpent Hashira, Iguro, tries to pursue but is stopped by Giyu, who calls out to Nezuko. Nezuko resists the blood's temptation, convincing Lord Oyakata of her control; he designates her as a Demon Slayer ally, warns Tanjiro of others' suspicions, and accepts Tanjiro's overjoyed bow.

Tanjiro boldly vows before everyone that he and Nezuko will defeat Muzan Kibutsuji; the Hashira laugh at the claim, and Lord Oyakata urges him to defeat a Twelve Moon first, then tells him to slow down and mind his words. He asks Sanemi and Iguro to be gentle toward them, dismissing Tanjiro's matter; Shinobu requests to care for Tanjiro and Nezuko during healing.

Kakushi attendants carry Tanjiro away, but he returns to request headbutting Sanemi as revenge for hurting Nezuko; the Mist Hashira, Tokito, knocks him out for interrupting.

The meeting continues with Lord Oyakata reiterating the rising demon threat and the need for more members, as Sanemi notes their ranks weakening from recent incidents, though expansion risks disorganization and lives.
