Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 37: Tonight

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen survive the battle’s aftermath, and Nezuko uses her Blood Demon Art to save the poisoned injured from the brink of death.

The episode opens in the wreckage of the Entertainment District after the massive explosion that ends the fight. Nezuko’s box has been blown away, but she uses her demon power to land safely and reunite with Tanjiro. Tanjiro realizes that he is no longer being killed by Gyutaro’s poison and is confused about why he is still alive.

Zenitsu, who has returned to his usual frightened state after waking up, leads Tanjiro to Inosuke, who is badly wounded and close to dying. Nezuko then uses a new healing Blood Demon Art that burns the poison out of Inosuke’s body, saving him. The group then finds Tengen nearly dead, surrounded by his wives, and Nezuko also saves him in the same way.

Unable to walk, Tanjiro asks Nezuko to carry him while they search for the demon siblings’ heads. When they find them, Gyutaro and Daki are arguing with each other over who caused their defeat, and they hurl insults at each other’s relationship. Tanjiro speaks to them and tries to comfort them, and Gyutaro begins remembering his human past as the two demons continue to deteriorate.

As the siblings disappear, Tanjiro wonders whether they ever managed to reconcile. The episode then cuts back to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, where Kagaya is overjoyed by the news of the victory and praises the young slayers, saying that Muzan’s defeat is not far away. In the Infinity Castle, Akaza is summoned and realizes that one of the Upper Ranks has been defeated.

The episode ends with Tanjiro joyfully reuniting with Zenitsu and Inosuke amid the ruins of the Entertainment District, relieved that they are all alive.
