Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 45: Someone`s Dream

Muzan summons the remaining Upper Rank demons to the Infinity Castle and rebukes them for failing to eliminate the Ubuyashiki family or find the Blue Spider Lily. He orders Gyokko and Hantengu on a joint mission after Gyokko brings him useful information, while Doma is sent away on his own, and the meeting ends with the demons’ hostility and tension still unresolved.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro is recovering after the Entertainment District battle and learns that Hotaru Haganezuka is furious with him for repeatedly chipping and damaging his swords, to the point that he refuses to forge a new one. Wanting to face him directly, Tanjiro leaves with Nezuko for the Swordsmith Village, where he meets the village chief Tecchin Tecchikawahara, who assures him that Haganezuka is not simply ignoring him.

At the village hot springs, Tanjiro encounters the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, and another young Demon Slayer, Genya Shinazugawa. Mitsuri is friendly and later hints that there is a “secret weapon” in the village that can help Tanjiro become stronger.

The next day, Tanjiro notices the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, arguing with someone near a swordsmith’s area. As he watches, he also sees a man who looks exactly like someone from his dreams, leaving Tanjiro startled by the resemblance.

The episode also includes a brief memory-like sequence in which Tanjiro witnesses a quiet exchange between a man and a Kamado ancestor in an older house. The man speaks softly about regret and about failing to protect what mattered most, and Tanjiro reacts emotionally before waking from the dream in tears.
