Dexter Episode 77: Swim Deep

Dexter finds blood on his boat, traces it to **Louis**, and realizes someone was murdered there. He then returns home to discover his apartment has been broken into, so he quickly sets up a fake meeting at a restaurant to flush out the person following him.

At the restaurant, Dexter spots **Isaak** leaving and recognizes him as the man from the Fox Hole, which confirms that Isaak has been tracking him. In the meantime, Deb is alarmed when Masuka tells her that LaGuerta is having Travis Marshall’s slide tested by an outside lab, and LaGuerta then admits she is reopening the Bay Harbor Butcher case because she believes the killer is active again.

Dexter contacts Isaak and demands to know why he is being followed. Isaak admits he killed Louis and threatens Dexter and anyone connected to Viktor’s death, which forces Dexter to reveal that he killed Viktor himself. Realizing Deb may also be in danger, Dexter takes her into hiding at a motel.

Dexter also reconnects with **Hannah McKay**, who is helping the police identify the remaining victims from Wayne Randall’s murders. As the bodies are unearthed, Dexter sees that one of the victims was Randall’s, but he concludes that Hannah herself killed the woman because of physical evidence that does not match her story. Hannah tells the police Randall acted alone, but Dexter keeps digging and becomes increasingly suspicious of her.

To get Isaak off his trail, Dexter lures him into a Colombian bar in territory hostile to Isaak’s mob. Dexter expects a gang shootout, but Isaak kills everyone inside instead and walks out alive. When Miami Metro responds to the massacre, Dexter finds Isaak’s blood at the scene, which gives the police enough evidence to arrest him.

Meanwhile, Deb’s fear for Dexter grows as LaGuerta’s investigation continues, and Deb is pulled deeper into protecting her brother from both LaGuerta and Isaak.
