Game of Thrones Episode 3: Lord Snow

Jon Snow arrives at the Wall and begins training with the Night’s Watch, where he is immediately treated as arrogant and spoiled by some of the other recruits. Tyrion Lannister also visits the Wall and gives Jon blunt advice about accepting his identity instead of letting others define him.

At King’s Landing, Ned Stark settles into his new role as Hand of the King and learns that the crown is deeply in debt. He meets key figures in the royal court, including Varys and Petyr Baelish, and starts to see how little control he has over the politics around him.

Catelyn Stark reaches King’s Landing and secretly meets Ned to warn him that the knife used in the attempt on Bran’s life belonged to Tyrion Lannister, strengthening her suspicion that the Lannisters were involved.

Arya tells Ned that she wants to learn sword fighting, and he arranges for her to train with Syrio Forel. At the same time, Cersei tries to teach Joffrey how to rule by showing him that power can be used ruthlessly rather than honorably.

At Winterfell, Bran is recovering but remains unable to walk, and his condition continues to cast a shadow over the Stark household.

Across the narrow sea, Daenerys becomes more confident among the Dothraki, but her relationship with Viserys grows more strained as he grows increasingly frustrated and threatening. She also learns she is pregnant.

The episode ends with the main threads still moving apart: Jon settling into life at the Wall, Ned navigating the politics of King’s Landing, Catelyn pressing her suspicions, and Daenerys facing a major change in her life.
