Full recap

Ramsay Snow and Myranda hunt a terrified girl through the woods near the Dreadfort, and when she is caught, Myranda wounds her with an arrow before Ramsay unleashes the hounds on her. Theon, reduced to the name “Reek,” is forced to watch helplessly as the girl is torn apart.

At King’s Landing, Jaime tells Tyrion that he is troubled by his inability to fight properly with his missing hand and fears he can no longer protect the king. Tyrion urges him to train with his left hand instead, and Jaime later meets Bronn to begin relearning how to fight.

Shae grows increasingly resentful of Tyrion’s desire to send her away, but he insists he is trying to keep her safe and eventually ends their relationship, telling her she must leave King’s Landing.

On Dragonstone, Melisandre oversees a public burning, sacrificing several prisoners to the Lord of Light, including Queen Selyse’s brother Axell Florent.

At the Dreadfort, Roose Bolton arrives with his new wife, Walda, and is deeply angered by what Ramsay has done to Theon. Roose realizes that Theon is still a valuable hostage because he is the last living heir of Balon Greyjoy, and Ramsay is pressed to explain what he knows about the missing Stark boys. Under questioning and abuse, Theon reveals that Bran and Rickon are still alive and may be with Jon Snow. Roose then orders Locke to go north and search for them.

Bran, Hodor, Meera, and Jojen continue north and find a huge weirwood tree. Bran slips into a trance and wargs into Summer, hunting a deer in the forest until Meera interrupts him and says he has been gone for hours. While Bran is in Summer’s body, a mysterious figure kills the deer, and it is then revealed that the animal’s death was caused by Summer acting on Bran’s warged consciousness.

In King’s Landing, the wedding of Joffrey and Margaery takes place with great pomp. During the celebration, Joffrey behaves cruelly toward Tyrion, taunting him in front of the court. After the feast begins, Joffrey demands wine, drinks from his goblet, and soon starts choking violently. As the court panics, he collapses and dies from poison in front of everyone, and Margaery and Olenna are among those visibly shocked.
