Full recap

Jon and Daenerys travel to King’s Landing with their followers to meet Cersei in the ruined Dragonpit and try to secure an armistice against the White Walkers. Jon and the Hound present a captured wight to prove the threat is real, and the demonstration briefly convinces the assembled leaders that the dead are a danger to everyone.

Cersei initially appears willing to help, but only if Jon stays neutral and does not side with Daenerys; when Jon openly says he has already pledged himself to Daenerys, she withdraws her support and returns to the Red Keep. Tyrion later speaks privately with Cersei and tries to persuade her to reconsider, and the meeting ends with Cersei agreeing to support the truce against the dead, though her trust in the others remains fragile.

Back in King’s Landing, Jaime confronts Cersei after learning she intends to abandon the alliance, and the two part on bitter terms as their relationship fractures. Meanwhile, Euron departs with the Iron Fleet after Cersei’s maneuvers leave the political situation unsettled.

At Winterfell, Sansa calls Arya before the northern and Vale lords and accuses Littlefinger of manipulating events against House Stark. She lays out his crimes, including his role in Jon Arryn’s death, his betrayal of Ned Stark, and other deceptions, and the sisters turn on him together; Littlefinger is then executed in the Great Hall.

Sam arrives at Winterfell with Gilly and their child and reunites with Bran. Bran tells Sam that Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, and Sam adds that Rhaegar’s marriage to Elia Martell was annulled before he secretly married Lyanna, making Jon’s birth legitimate. Bran then confirms this by revisiting the Tower of Joy in a vision and learning Jon’s true name is Aegon Targaryen.

On Dragonstone, Jon and Daenerys return to plan the war against the Night King and coordinate how their forces will move north. Their relationship becomes romantic, and they sleep together after Jon is shown the truth about his parentage through Bran’s revelations and his conversation with Sam.

At Eastwatch, Tormund, Beric, and the men stationed there watch the Army of the Dead approach. The Night King arrives riding the resurrected Viserion, unleashes blue fire, destroys Eastwatch, and breaches the Wall, allowing the dead to pour into the North.

Theon also confronts his past and recommits himself to Yara, choosing loyalty after earlier hesitation.
