Hunter x Hunter Episode 105: Resolve x and x Awakening

Meruem continues to ponder his constant losses to Komugi in their games, finding the feeling frustrating yet enjoyable. He returns to find Komugi still in her spot, greeted by Menthuthuyoupi. Meruem asks Shaiapouf about Komugi, who is sleeping and drooling. Meruem remarks on her unsightly appearance and wakes her. In their next game, Meruem proposes a wager: if Komugi wins, he will grant any wish; if she loses, he will take her left arm. Komugi takes time to decide, then bets her life, explaining that Gungi players are not allowed to lose, and as the breadwinner of her family of twelve, she cannot afford to become a burden. Meruem dismisses her explanation and asks again what she wants. She replies that her request will be made after she wins.

After realizing Komugi has no desire or fear, Meruem laughs, stating he is the one without resolve. He admits he imagined Komugi would take his life if he lost. Shaiapouf reacts violently, and Meruem silences him. Komugi denies such a thought ever crossed her mind. Meruem then calls off the wager and removes his own left arm as an apology. Shaiapouf reacts again, rushing to Meruem's side, cutting his own sleeve to tend to the injury. Komugi asks what happened, but Meruem only wants to continue the game. Shaiapouf insists on treating Meruem's arm. The Chimera Ant King slaps Shaiapouf, sending him across the room. Shaiapouf offers to summon Neferpitou to reattach Meruem's arm, stating he is willing to be killed if Meruem refuses. Meruem tells Shaiapouf to come forward and asks Komugi to make a move in their game. She refuses to play until his injury is treated. Meruem threatens Komugi and demands she make a move, but she still refuses. Frustrated, Meruem asks Shaiapouf to summon Neferpitou.

In the city, Knov and Morel are convinced that all the puppets have vanished. Morel suggests the selection has resumed, but Knov disagrees. As the Hunters surround the capital, the Royal Guards focus on keeping the King safe. Knov deduces that something may have happened to a Royal Guard or the King. Morel calls this their "golden opportunity" to infiltrate the palace. They consider it a trap but are convinced the Royal Guard would not endanger their King. Knov must create a portal near the palace. Leol's Satellite Dragonflies find Knov and Morel, observing Knov demonstrating his ability to create portals. The two Hunters split up, and Leol, Welfin, and Bloster focus on taking out Morel first.

Back in the palace, Neferpitou arrives and uses her ability, Doctor Blythe, to treat Meruem's injured left arm while he continues playing Gungi with Komugi. Shaiapouf asks Neferpitou how long the operation will take, and Neferpitou replies that two to three hours will be sufficient for the King's complete recovery. She admits this ability requires a lot of power, preventing her from using her Puppeteer and other abilities during this time. Shaiapouf volunteers to watch the surroundings, admitting his own power is not as strong as Neferpitou's.

Near the palace, Knov appears and confirms that no special power is being used. He becomes confident that he can hide in the dark and eliminate enemies during the night. He runs towards the palace, pulling off bushes and cloaking himself in them for camouflage. He plans to prepare three exits around the palace, setting up entrances within sight of the building. He advances closer, crawling his way towards it.

Inside the palace, three humans are kept alive who are not intended as food: Komugi, Ming Jol-ik, and Bizeff. Bizeff serves as the country's ruler and handles domestic organizations. Besides these three humans, eleven more Chimera Ants are present, including Cheetu, Hina, and Shidore. Knov successfully reaches the palace and attempts to infiltrate. Secretary Bizeff complains about his workload and requests three more secretarial assistants. He receives an e-mail with pictures of "available" women. Bizeff smiles and continues browsing the pictures. He proceeds to make his request, and it is immediately sent to Marcos, who informs Palm that the target has taken the bait.
