Hunter x Hunter Episode 109: Taking Stock x and x Taking Action

Ikalgo wakes to find Killua and Gon preparing. Killua reviews their plan: he and Gon will head to the central stairway and then to the throne room, while Ikalgo will take an elevator to find Palm. Killua expresses concern about unexpected events and emphasizes the need to adapt. They discuss dealing with a specific type of aura and note that the aura Knov encountered belonged to Shaiapouf, not Neferpitou. They conclude that something unexpected happened during Knov's infiltration, causing Neferpitou to leave palace security to Shaiapouf.

They contact Colt, who is at a mansion, and he suggests Neferpitou might have been healing someone. He explains that Neferpitou restored someone named Kite. As Colt speaks, a child plays with toys nearby. Colt adds that healing requires intense concentration.

Killua speculates that the King or one of the Royal Guards is injured and required healing. They consider that Neferpitou would likely not heal an injured Guard, as the King is their main priority. They conclude the King must have injured himself. In Peijin, Killua contacts Morel and relays their discussion. Suddenly, an announcement is made in the capital, and people begin marching out of their homes, led by Neferpitou's aura puppets.

Inside the palace, the three Royal Guards observe the marching people. Neferpitou states that more skilled enemies have arrived, and Shaiapouf believes the enemy has reinforcements. Menthuthuyoupi suggests the ongoing selection might be a cover. Since the King is participating in the selection, Shaiapouf proposes that one of the Royal Guards remain with the King. Menthuthuyoupi mentions the King has been displeased by the Guards' constant proximity, leading Shaiapouf to take on the responsibility himself, reasoning that Menthuthuyoupi's appearance could draw attention and Neferpitou is easily distracted. Neferpitou then senses that the enemies' presence has completely vanished.

The Extermination Team is in Knov's dimension, discussing further plans for the selection. Neferpitou suggests recalling their puppets, but Shaiapouf rejects this as dangerous. Instead, he instructs the puppets to join and guide the citizens. In Peijin, Morel observes the soldiers' actions and returns to the dimension, reporting what he saw. They discuss entering the palace from behind. Knov arrives and states he can investigate the area.

In the palace, the King confronts Neferpitou about a previous attack on Komugi. Neferpitou admits knowing about the attack but made no attempt to save Komugi since the King was safe. The King orders Neferpitou to monitor Komugi's surroundings and handle any threats. Neferpitou agrees and silently leaves the throne room. Nearby, Knov investigates the citizens and notices they are hypnotized and dazed by Shaiapouf's wing scales. He reports this to Morel and the others. Morel sees this as an advantage, believing that even if turmoil erupts in the palace, no one will panic or stampede. Gon, Killua, and Ikalgo enter the dimension. The team prepares, and its members reflect. Shoot thinks Killua seems confident but also appears to be fading. Meleoron practices holding his breath for two minutes, claiming it's enough for his ability. Knuckle believes everyone, even the Chimera Ants, has a heart, but knows he must kill or be killed. Gon promises Kite he will restore him. Morel acknowledges his fatigue but knows he has no time to rest. Ikalgo pledges allegiance to Killua and thanks him for a second chance.

The King continues to question his identity, purpose, and what he should do. The Extermination Team moves out, with only ten minutes remaining before the infiltration.
