Hunter x Hunter Episode 12: Last x Test of x Resolve

Gon and the others are confined to a small room for 50 hours. Elsewhere, a participant named Geretta reaches the bottom of Trick Tower, becoming the fourth person to complete the Third Phase. With 40 hours remaining, Gon and Killua entertain themselves. While others sleep, Killua stays awake. Another participant, Kurapika, notices Killua is awake and asks if he can't sleep, to which Killua replies he can go days without it. Killua then throws a pillow at Gon, who, without opening his eyes, throws it back. Realizing Gon was pretending to sleep, Killua throws it again, and they begin a pillow fight, waking and annoying Leorio.

As the 50 hours near their end, the group stands before a door. With one minute left, the door opens automatically, and Gon rushes out. They navigate various obstacles on their way down the tower. With one hour remaining, they arrive in a small room with two doors. One door is marked with an "X," and the other with an "O." They learn that the "O" door allows five people to pass but is a long and difficult path requiring a minimum of 45 hours. The "X" door is short and easy, requiring only 3 minutes, but only allows three people to pass.

An impatient participant named Tonpa grabs an axe and attacks Leorio. They begin to fight, and Kurapika and Gon try to stop them. Gon then gets an idea from watching Tonpa break the wall with the axe. They all choose the "O" door. Once inside, they use the axe to break through the wall separating the two paths. With time almost expired, Gon, Killua, and Kurapika emerge first, followed by Leorio and Tonpa. With this, they all successfully pass the Third Phase of the exam.
