Netero and Meruem arrive at a remote testing ground by way of Zeno’s Dragon Head, where the chairman has brought the King to begin their confrontation. Netero urges Meruem not to hold back, but the King initially treats him with calm superiority and starts speaking about the kind of world he intends to create.

Meruem explains that in this world, the strong would govern and the weak would be protected only if they were useful, and he names Komugi and Netero as examples of humans he considers worth keeping alive. He even offers to spare Netero’s life if the chairman backs down, but Netero refuses to accept the offer and instead presses for an actual fight.

As Meruem continues describing his ideal world, he invites Netero to discuss it openly. Netero tells him that the V5 has already ordered the Chimera Ants to be destroyed, then rejects the discussion and answers with Nen, revealing his **100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva** and landing a direct strike with the first hand. The blow does no visible damage to Meruem, but it makes clear that Netero is finally serious.

Elsewhere, the situation at the Royal Palace is briefly revisited as Neferpitou relays information to Shaiapouf about what has happened since the invasion began. This exchange confirms that the Royal Guard are still trying to account for the King’s movements and current condition.

Back at the testing ground, Netero uses Meruem’s curiosity as leverage. He tells the King that if Meruem can make him admit defeat, he will reveal Meruem’s name. That promise changes the tone of the encounter: Meruem accepts the challenge, and the episode ends with both of them prepared to battle in earnest.
