Hunter x Hunter Episode 140: Join Battle x and x Open Battle

Gon remains in critical condition in a hospital room while an Association exorcist inspects him and concludes that she cannot remove or heal the burden on him. The scene then shifts to Killua, who is speaking with Morel by phone near the Zoldyck estate, and the conversation is abruptly interrupted when one of the family’s butlers takes over to enforce the household’s restrictions on him.

Killua is told that he is under a strict watch order and cannot move freely without supervision. The Zoldyck household has effectively placed him on a high-security leash: he is allowed to leave only under tight conditions, and multiple butlers are assigned to accompany him so they can monitor every move and return him home if he violates the rules.

At the election venue, the Hunter Chairman vote is still underway, and Leorio arrives determined to confront Ging. He angrily demands to know why Ging has not gone to see Gon, but Ging deflects the question and implies that Gon would have said it directly if he wanted his father there. Leorio, unable to contain his frustration at Gon's condition, lashes out with his Nen ability and lands a forceful punch on Ging, sending him flying and earning a huge reaction from the surrounding Hunters.

Back at the Zoldyck estate, Killua pushes ahead with his plan to take Alluka out in order to help Gon, but the family’s restrictions remain in force and the butlers are still shadowing him. The episode ends with the situation escalating in both places: Gon’s condition is still unresolved, Killua is being tightly monitored as he tries to leave, and Leorio’s outburst has turned the election hall into open conflict.
