Hunter x Hunter Episode 22: A x Dangerous x Watchdog

The group arrives in the Republic of Padokea, the home of Killua and his family. They gather information and take a tour bus. During the ride, a woman named Coco Loo describes Kukuroo Mountain as the home of the Zoldyck Family. Upon reaching the front gate, also known as the "Gate to Hades," Coco explains that to enter, one must pass through a small door next to the security checkpoint, adding that no one who has entered has ever come out alive. Two punks taunt the guard, take a key from him, and enter the small door, claiming they will get a reward for taking pictures of the Zoldycks. Soon after, a large furry hand throws their corpses back outside the wall. All the tourists and Coco flee in terror, but Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio remain and are introduced to a man named Zebro.

They learn that a beast named Mike kills intruders who go beyond the gate and only obeys orders from the Zoldyck Family. Zebro refuses to give them the key, fearing they will be killed by Mike. Kurapika deduces that Zebro is not a guard but cleans up Mike's messes, and that the real entrance is a huge gate, also known as the testing gate. Entering through this gate would prevent Mike from attacking them.

Leorio attempts to open the huge gate but fails. Zebro then demonstrates his strength, opening the first door, which weighs two tons. Gon realizes he isn't strong enough to open the door and insists on borrowing the key from Zebro, despite warnings from Kurapika and Leorio. Zebro calls a butler on the phone and lets Gon speak to him, but the butler refuses to believe them and hangs up. Frustrated, Gon decides to climb the door using his fishing rod. His friends try to stop him, but Gon is determined. Zebro intervenes again and decides to accompany the three through the huge door.

After entering through the door, Zebro calls Mike. Seeing Mike's appearance, the three appear powerless and scared. Despite this, Gon insists on meeting Killua and asks Zebro to guide them.
