Hunter x Hunter Episode 21: Some x Brother x Trouble

Gon confronts Illumi, stating that Illumi has no right to be Killua's brother. Gon grabs Illumi's arm and breaks it. Gon then demands to know Killua's location, explaining that he simply wants to be Killua's friend. Illumi suggests that Gon is implying Killua was kidnapped, to which Gon clarifies that Killua was manipulated by Illumi, which is similar to kidnapping.

Netero interrupts their conversation, as the meeting is also focused on Killua's situation. Both Kurapika and Leorio defend Killua. Kurapika explains that Killua acted differently during his match and believes Illumi hypnotized Killua into killing. Leorio adds that the attack happened during Killua's match with Bodoro, suggesting Killua might have been trying to help Leorio. Leorio argues that he should be the one disqualified, not Killua. Netero dismisses these as speculations, stating there were no clear signs of manipulation. Netero points out that Bodoro had more experience than Leorio, but Leorio had the combat advantage, questioning why Killua would help Leorio.

Pokkle then questions Kurapika's win against Hisoka, noting that Hisoka whispered something to Kurapika before Kurapika admitted defeat. Pokkle speculates about a bargain between them. Kurapika refuses to elaborate, stating that if his win is considered strange, a victory by default would be equally strange.

Gon interrupts everyone, stating that the details of their wins don't matter. He acknowledges Killua's disqualification as unfortunate but expresses confidence that Killua will pass if he retakes the Hunter Exam. Gon tightens his grip on Illumi's arm and declares that if Illumi forced Killua to kill against his will, Gon will not forgive him. Gon also states that once he rescues Killua, he will prevent Illumi from seeing Killua again. Illumi attempts to touch Gon, but Gon becomes wary and backs away. Netero interrupts again, agreeing with Gon's statement about passing the exam. He signals Beans to continue the orientation, which begins with the introduction of the Hunter License. Netero then declares the seven examinees to be Hunters.

Outside, Gon again confronts Illumi, asking for Killua's location. Illumi warns that taking Killua away is a bad idea. Kurapika and Leorio join Gon, expressing their desire to rescue Killua. Illumi finally reveals that Killua is back home at Kukuroo Mountain. After Gon and his friends leave, Hisoka appears behind Illumi. Illumi notes that all locals know where the Zoldycks live, so Gon knowing is not an issue. Illumi recognizes Gon's incredible potential, which is why Hisoka is waiting for him to grow up, making Gon more dangerous. Illumi considers killing Gon, but Hisoka warns him of consequences if he touches Gon.

Leorio asks Kurapika if he knows where Kukuroo Mountain is. Kurapika doesn't know but suggests they can search online. Hanzo bids them farewell, returning to his country. Pokkle also leaves, apologizing to Kurapika for his earlier comments. Satotz gives Gon his Hunter License and tells him a story about a Hunter who discovered long-forgotten ruins. He identifies this extraordinary Hunter as Ging, and mentions that even he tried to find Ging but couldn't. Satotz expresses his desire to become a Hunter as amazing as Ging, which makes Gon feel good and blush. Inside the building, Kurapika searches for Kukuroo Mountain, finding that it is 3,722 meters high and located in the Republic of Padokea. Later that day, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio set off to Killua's home to rescue him.
