Hunter x Hunter Episode 24: The x Zoldyck x Family

A message from Killua, delivered by a woman named Kikyo, states that he cannot see his friends at this time. A flashback shows a younger Killua being greeted by a person named Illumi, who asks about Killua's previous task. When Killua refuses to answer, Illumi leaves. Killua is then greeted by Canary, a new apprentice butler. Later, as Killua is about to eat an apple, Canary greets him again and introduces herself as an apprentice butler. Killua offers her the apple, but she declines, explaining that she is a servant and he is her employer. Killua observes that Canary is using Silent Gaits and assumes she learned it in Meteor City. He offers to teach her Rhythm Echo and demonstrates it. Canary senses intruders and confronts them. Several bounty hunters attack, but Canary easily knocks them out. The leader of the intruders attacks with blades, injuring her. Canary then uses Rhythm Echo to defeat him. Canary notices a man named Zebro and asks him to clean up the mess. A creature named Mike appears before a man named Seaquant, who immediately surrenders as Canary walks away. Killua expresses disappointment that Canary already knew Rhythm Echo and asks her to be his friend. Canary refuses, stating that Kikyo is watching them. Killua then runs off.

Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio tend to an unconscious Canary. Meanwhile, Killua is being whipped by his older brother, Milluki. Milluki accuses Killua of arrogance, and Killua apologizes for stabbing his brother during his escape. The torture is interrupted when Kikyo calls Milluki, informing him that Killua's friends are near the butler's office. Milluki mocks Killua, suggesting their mother will drive them away. Killua pulls on one of his chains and threatens to kill Milluki if his friends are touched. Kikyo introduces herself and a child named Kalluto. Gon asks why Killua cannot see them, and Kikyo replies that Killua entered solitary confinement willingly. She then begins talking to herself in a worried and hasty manner.

A man named Zeno enters the solitary confinement area and tells Killua he can leave. He easily breaks Killua's chains and Killua tells Milluki he is not sorry for stabbing him, but he does feel bad. Before Killua can leave, Zeno adds that his father wants to see him. Milluki throws a fit, accusing Zeno of spoiling Killua. Zeno explains that Killua is special and asks about Killua's potential. Milluki calls Killua the most talented in the family's history, as his mother suggests, but believes Killua is mentally weak. Milluki then praises himself and talks about his latest invention: a bomb-carrying mosquito that explodes upon biting its target. Zeno calls Milluki a bright boy with a foolish nature. Kikyo continues talking and eventually excuses herself. Gon asks her to tell Killua that they will stay. After asking Gon who he is, Kalluto follows his mother back into the mountain. Canary awakens and offers to take them to the butler's office, where there is a phone to contact the family.

Killua's father, Silva, talks to Killua, asking about his friends. They converse as Kikyo runs back home. Silva asks Killua if he wants to see his friends. He explains that he and Killua are different, a realization he had after his son ran away. He asks Killua again if he wants to see his friends. Killua says yes, and Silva makes a deal with him: never betray his friends. Silva sets Killua free, but Kikyo stands in his way, claiming that Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio have already left. Killua dismisses his mother and leaves, while Kikyo expresses pride in him for glaring at her and feeling his killing intent. Kikyo confronts Silva in his room, blaming him for setting Killua free now that he is home. Silva believes Killua will return home one day because he is his son.
