Hunter x Hunter Episode 41: Gathering x of x Heroes

After arriving in Yorknew City, Gon and Killua visit an internet cafe to research Greed Island. They access a Hunter-only website using a URL Killua received and Gon's Hunter License. The website displays a virtual tavern, which Gon senses is imbued with Nen. They speak to the tavern's bartender to inquire about Greed Island.

Paying a large fee for information, they learn that Greed Island is a game created by Nen practitioners. Each copy of the game contains Nen, and only Nen users can play it. Once a player starts the game, they are pulled into its world and cannot simply leave by turning off the console. Dying in the game results in death in real life. They are also told that one person once hired 50 Nen users to enter the game, and none returned alive. The game is out of print, but seven copies will be auctioned in Yorknew, starting at 8.9 billion Jenny, a price higher than Gon and Killua expected. To raise money, they decide to find and resell rare treasures online, but by the end of the day, they have not accumulated enough funds.

Meanwhile, at a mansion, Kurapika and three other applicants present items from an item hunt. The head bodyguard, Dalzollene, hires all of them on the spot. He explains their first mission is to escort their boss to a hotel in Yorknew. Kurapika asks about potential enemies of the boss, but Dalzollene tells him to focus on the objective. Dalzollene then leads the new bodyguards to their boss. On the way, they pass a human-like art piece on the wall. One of the new bodyguards, Baise, questions it, and Dalzollene states it was a past bodyguard whom they are replacing. The group enters a lavish, pink-themed room where their boss, a young woman named Neon, is seated. On the outskirts of Yorknew, members of a group called the Phantom Troupe begin to gather. Their leader waits for all members to arrive before giving orders.

Kurapika and his fellow bodyguards escort Neon to her hotel in Yorknew. Dalzollene, riding with Neon, asks her to use her ability, "Lovely Ghostwriter," to give fortunes to men familiar with her father. The car unknowingly passes four members of the Troupe walking towards Yorknew. These members discuss that this is the first time they've all been called together in over three years and that Hisoka is a new member. Back with Neon's group, Dalzollene calls Neon's father to report the fortune-telling results. Based on the fortunes, they realize the Underground Auction will be too dangerous for Neon, and she will not be able to attend.

As the day ends, nearly all members of the Phantom Troupe have gathered, and Hisoka soon arrives. The leader gives his orders, stating they will take everything up for auction at the Underground Auction, and anyone who interferes can be killed. Looking at the sunset, Kurapika believes the Phantom Troupe will appear at the auction.
