Hunter x Hunter Episode 64: Strengthen x and x Threaten
Gon and Killua are gradually improving their Nen under Bisky's tutelage. They are now able to easily capture the monsters that they previously struggled against. While their training draws to an end, the Bomber is paying a visit to the players who have teamed up.
Full recap
Gon and Killua continue their Greed Island training under Biscuit, focusing on capturing rare monsters and improving their Nen control. At the same time, another group of players faces a dangerous betrayal when the man leading their alliance reveals himself as the Bomber and threatens them with bombs placed on their bodies.
Gon starts the episode by chasing a Hyper Puffball and eventually catches it, earning its card. Killua then goes after a Melanin Lizard and defeats it easily, also getting its card.
The next day, Gon pursues a Bubble Horse. Using **Zetsu** to hide his aura and avoid the creature’s bubbles, he manages to catch it and claim the card.
Biscuit then shifts the training toward defense. She demonstrates a powerful strike using **Ko**, explaining that to survive against it they need to use Ko on their entire body. She describes this as a combination of Ten and Ren called **Ken**.
Gon initially can only maintain Ko for about two minutes before collapsing from exhaustion. Biscuit tells him he needs to be able to sustain Ken for at least 30 minutes to be ready for real combat, and both boys keep training until Gon can finally hold it long enough to withstand one of her attacks.
Once they can maintain Ken, Biscuit introduces **Ryu**, explaining how they can shift their aura between offense and defense depending on the situation. She has them practice adjusting their power output, showing that they should not keep all their aura evenly spread if they want to attack effectively.
The episode then cuts to the player alliance inside the game, where they believe they are close to collecting enough cards to win. Their leader suddenly reveals that he is the **Bomber**. He uses his ability to place bombs on the others and begins threatening them, forcing them to hand over their cards or face detonation.
As the episode ends, the alliance is trapped by the Bomber’s threat, while Gon and Killua’s training has reached a point where they are learning how to control their aura with much greater precision.
