Hunter x Hunter Episode 71: Bargain x and x Deal
Gon, Killua, and Hisoka team up to catch Razor's strongest throw. They're taking Razor head on. Once the ball has been secured, Gon uses all of his strength to launch it at Razor. The game of dodgeball is drawing to a close.
Full recap
Razor draws his aura and disperses it back into himself, preparing to throw the ball with his full strength. He focuses his aura and throws the ball high into the air, then spikes it towards Gon, Killua, and Hisoka. The three form a defensive formation, with Gon positioned to catch the ball, Hisoka ready to conceal it, and Killua supporting them to prevent them from losing balance. When the ball lands in Gon's hands, the trio successfully stops it. Razor praises them, specifically Killua, for their combined effort in stopping his attack.
While Razor prepares his next move, Gon releases a large amount of aura, astonishing his teammates. Razor realizes that Gon's initial attempt was not his full strength and, seeing him go all-out, states that Gon's father would be proud. Gon then punches the ball straight back at Razor. Razor, aware of the ball's immense power, considers his options. He determines that catching it would cause him to go out of bounds, and dodging it is not an option. Razor attempts to stop the ball as he did with Gon's first throw, by letting it hit his forearm, but this time he directs it back towards Gon.
A character named Tsezguerra shouts for Gon to dodge, but Razor is convinced Gon will not. However, the ball passes through Gon as he faints from using such a large amount of aura, much to Tsezguerra's relief. Suddenly, Hisoka uses his Bungee Gum to stop Razor's counterattack, preventing Gon's effort from being wasted. Hisoka throws the ball back to Razor, and because it is covered by Hisoka's Bungee Gum, when Razor tries to throw it again, the ball sticks to his forearm. He is pushed outside the boundaries while still holding the ball. A referee announces that Razor is out, and Gon's team is victorious.
After the game, Gon regains consciousness and realizes Hisoka saved the game. Razor approaches Gon, accepting his defeat. While another character named Biscuit tends to Killua's hands, Razor and Gon converse. Razor tells Gon that his father is not in Greed Island and he doesn't know his whereabouts, but he shares stories about his past with Gon's father and how he changed him.
After speaking with Razor, Gon and his team leave. An event with a "Plot of Beach NPC" occurs, allowing them to obtain a card called "Plot of Beach." After this event, Gon and his team acquire the card, and Hisoka departs. Killua realizes that Hisoka had lied about not knowing how to play Greed Island before meeting them. As the group talks, a character named Genthru contacts them, demanding they hand over the "Plot of Beach" card. He threatens Tsezguerra, insisting he come alone. Genthru mentions the names of the first group of fifteen players who were at Razor's place, leading Gon and the others to realize Genthru killed them all. Gon contacts Genthru, offering to take him on. Genthru tells Gon he will deal with him after Tsezguerra, as Gon possesses another card he desires. Killua asks Tsezguerra to move to a different location to prevent Gon from getting involved with Genthru. Genthru and his associates discuss their targets, believing it's necessary to hunt Tsezguerra first, as his surrender would lead to Gon. They reason that going after Gon first would give Tsezguerra time to escape.
It becomes clear that Genthru wants the original "Plot of Beach" card, believing Tsezguerra has it. Tsezguerra reminds Gon that inviting Genthru was a mistake, as Gon acted selfishly and could endanger those around him. Tsezguerra and his group decide to help Gon prepare and heal to battle Genthru and his associates by buying them time and provoking Genthru's group. During their discussion, a deal is made: Tsezguerra states that buying Gon time is not an alliance but a deal to obtain the "Wild Luck Alexandrite" card. This deal will give Gon at least three weeks to prepare a plan to defeat Genthru and his group. Tsezguerra's team leaves to confront Genthru, while Gon and Killua begin to heal and train with Biscuit.
