Hunter x Hunter Episode 72: Chase x and x Chance

Hisoka and another man meet with members of a group called the Phantom Troupe. Hisoka approaches a woman and a man who are observing an exorcist. He also notices a new, small member of the Troupe. Meanwhile, after a brief discussion, a man named Tsezguerra and his group confront a group of individuals referred to as the Bombers. Tsezguerra's group casts a "Levy" spell on the Bombers and immediately uses "Accompany" to escape. After checking their lost cards, the leader of the Bombers, Genthru, believes Tsezguerra will ambush them until they run out of cards. Tsezguerra collects escape and teleportation cards with the help of a man named Goreinu.

A boy named Gon trains intensely to fight Genthru. A woman named Biscuit advises Gon to begin training in Emission to gain a new weapon for his fight with Genthru. While Gon struggles with his Emission training, another boy named Killua and Biscuit discuss Gon's power. Killua asks Biscuit to reveal her technique so he can better plan for their upcoming battle against the Bombers. Biscuit shows Killua her technique, called Magical Esthetician, which underwhelms Killua.

Tsezguerra continues to target Genthru's group by launching sneak attacks at night. Genthru believes they have a Nen user with tracking abilities and thinks he understands Tsezguerra's plan. Genthru's group begins harassing other players, stealing their "Accompany" and C-Rank cards. They also check if other players have already encountered Tsezguerra and his group. If not, they identify themselves and threaten the players into collecting cards by force; if a player has met Tsezguerra's group, Genthru's group disposes of them. Goreinu continues to spy on Genthru's group and uses "Contact" to report their scheme to Tsezguerra.

While Gon trains, Killua and Biscuit continue to formulate a plan. Genthru collects many spell cards to pursue Tsezguerra's group. Knowing Genthru's movements, Tsezguerra immediately casts a spell card to escape, while Genthru casts a spell card to follow. The two groups continue to pursue and escape each other until Genthru is thrown off by Tsezguerra's group. This gives Tsezguerra and his group time to plan, intending to use the "Return" spell card when they run out of "Accompany" cards. Goreinu informs Tsezguerra that his suspicion about the two individuals named Bara and Sub with Genthru being fakes is correct.

The real Sub and Bara are in front of a shop in Masadora, observing everyone who enters. Tsezguerra wants to stick to the plan rather than fight Genthru, even if Genthru is alone. Meanwhile, Killua tells Gon to stop his training, as he has devised a plan to defeat Genthru and his team. After Tsezguerra's group uses their last "Accompany" card, they plan to leave the game and go to Battera's Castle. If the Bombers follow them, they will fend them off outside the mansion.

Upon arriving at Battera's Castle, the team is shocked by what they see. The Castle is empty, and a man named Sabazushi informs them that everyone has left because Battera canceled and gave up on clearing Greed Island. Tsezguerra, demanding an explanation, approaches Battera, who is locked in his room with tears flowing from his eyes. Although Tsezguerra insists they are very close to clearing the game, Battera tells him it no longer matters. Genthru and his group arrive at the mansion, kill Sabazushi, and prepare to confront Tsezguerra and his team.
