Hunter x Hunter Episode 76: Reunion x and x Understanding

Gon and Killua use the **Accompany** card they brought out of Greed Island to travel to the person listed as “Nigg,” believing he may be Ging, but they are sent to a different man instead. The location is foggy and forested, and the man is sitting by a tree with a fishing rod when they arrive.

The man immediately reacts to their presence, drops his fishing rod, and attacks them with a gun after revealing a Nen ability called **Crazy Slots**. Killua pulls Gon out of the way, and both boys are startled when they realize the area is dangerous and that the man had been trying to protect them rather than simply attack them.

The man explains that they are standing near a **Chimera Ant nest** and that the small injured creature Killua noticed is one of those ants, an aggressive insect under quarantine. When the injured ant attacks Killua, the man kills it right away, and then tells them that if he had not intervened, a larger group of ants would have swarmed them.

Gon then realizes the man is someone he met years earlier on Whale Island, not Ging. The man is revealed to be **Kite**, and Gon recognizes him as the hunter who saved him from a foxbear when he was younger.

After the misunderstanding is cleared up, Gon and Killua sit with Kite around a campfire, and Kite begins explaining how he met Ging and tracked him down. The episode shifts into Kite’s backstory as he tells them about his search for Ging and how their connection began.
