Full recap

The King walks the grounds of a palace, where armed guards point guns at him. He quickly disposes of them. Inside, a man named Ming Jol-ik enjoys a private dance. The King, accompanied by three powerful figures, enters the palace. Ming receives a call about intruders but ignores the threat.

The King and his companions are met by more guards, including one who uses a special power. One of the King's companions informs him of this, and the King responds that he already knows. With a single swipe of his tail, the King kills all the soldiers and begins to feed on the one who used the special power. He expresses delight, stating it is the taste he has been seeking. One of his companions realizes the King grows stronger with each power user he consumes. The group reaches a theater, where Ming yells for guards to appear. One of the King's companions explains that "King" is merely a title and anyone can hold it. This confuses and angers Ming, who questions how someone without power can rule. The King instantly kills Ming. One of the King's companions believes they can use Ming's body for their benefit and allows them to do as they wish with it. The King expresses his liking for the palace and states he wants to use the courtyard as a "Meat Plantation."

Elsewhere, Gon and Killua return to a building, sensing a strong, unsettling aura emanating from it. They approach cautiously. They open a door, and Killua sees a woman named Palm stabbing a doll resembling Gon, surrounded by many other similarly damaged dolls. Palm turns to them, her eyes red, and the boys are frozen with fear. Gon had apparently broken a promise to take Palm somewhere. In return, she demands he go on a date with her. Both boys are shocked, but Gon quickly agrees, further surprising Killua. Killua questions Palm's motives, but she begins to giggle uncontrollably until she sees Killua trying to get Gon to reconsider. Palm wants to go immediately, but Gon says not today, as he needs to train more. Palm becomes furious, screaming that he is trying to back out of their first date. Gon clarifies that he merely wants to prepare for a proper date tomorrow, and Palm agrees.

Killua is impressed and asks Gon if he has ever been on a date. Gon recounts dates with a woman named Mito and other women on fishing boats who visited his home island, stating they taught him "lots of things." Killua reveals he has never been on a date, having spent most of his life training as an assassin and then with Gon. This makes him recall an instruction to leave Gon, as he might hold him back. A man named Knuckle calls Gon and tells him they have found Kite. Gon asks about Kite's condition, receiving no answer. Knuckle eventually states Kite is being controlled by an enemy, but Gon expresses confidence Kite will be okay. Knuckle also warns Gon about other creatures moving into new areas. Gon is thrilled to hear Kite is alive, though unaware of his current state.

Meanwhile, a creature named Cheetu walks through a city, unconcerned by his appearance. He views the people around him as food. Gon gathers items for his date in the woods, while Killua remains wary of potential enemy attacks, as Gon currently lacks his special powers. During the day, Cheetu kills and eats multiple people. Police officers find him and open fire, but Cheetu, moving faster than the bullets, dodges them and removes the officers' fingers. Later, Killua watches a news report about this incident and remains cautious. A news anchor reports that the government wants a specific organization to get involved.

The next day, Gon waits for Palm, with Killua secretly observing him from a distance. A beautiful woman approaches Gon. He doesn't recognize her at first but then realizes it is Palm, looking completely different. The two go to a whale show, an aquarium, and then for dessert, all while Killua follows them to protect Gon. Gon and Palm then go to the woods, looking at creatures and flowers, eventually reaching a tree. Killua senses the presence of a creature in the air. Unsure whether to tell Gon and Palm, he decides to handle it alone. Running through the woods, Killua sees a shadow following him. He stops, and a creature named Rammot emerges, seemingly seeking revenge. Killua realizes he must fight Rammot alone, knowing Gon currently has no powers.
