Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 38: Fluctuations

Mei Mei and her brother Ui Ui confront a special-grade cursed spirit summoned by a figure wearing Suguru Geto's skin. Mei Mei assesses the situation inside the spirit's domain expansion—a spherical space filled with water—and disrupts its flow by recognizing stages in the attack pattern. The spirit attempts to trap Ui Ui underground in a coffin beneath a gravestone, counting down from three, but Ui Ui breaks free just in time. Mei Mei leaps at the spirit, while Ui Ui unleashes a massive sphere of water that floods the area; Mei Mei stabs her spear into a pillar to avoid the current, shocked by the volume, as Ui Ui sacrifices himself to create an opening for her.

Meanwhile, Nanami reunites with Maki and Naobito Zenin after defeating an earlier foe, and they immediately encounter a powerful aquatic cursed spirit named Dagon with unknown abilities. Naobito activates his clan's inherited **Projection Sorcery** technique, dividing one second into 24 frames to trace predetermined movements for extreme speed; anything he touches must follow this rule or freeze for a second in a frame. Naobito swiftly pummels Dagon, who realizes he cannot match the speed and skill.

Dagon unleashes an explosion of water, then activates his own **Domain Expansion: Horizon of the Captivating Skandha**, trapping Nanami, Maki, Naobito, and later Megumi inside a beach-like space with crashing ocean waves and pillars. Dagon attacks with shikigami, but Megumi intervenes by expanding his own domain, nullifying Dagon's guaranteed hits in a domain tug-of-war. Maki lands powerful strikes with her spear, sending Dagon into the water.

Naobito and Maki continue assaulting Dagon, cornering it despite injuries, especially to Naobito. Nanami calls the Zenin sorcerers to assemble at a hole opening in the ground to escape the domain. As they rush toward the exit, Dagon realizes the plan and tries to stop them, but before they can leave, a man named Toji Fushiguro suddenly enters through the hole, catching everyone off guard.
