Full recap

Megumi waits outside the detention center in the rain as the cursed womb's Innate Domain disappears, believing Yuji will return. Sukuna, controlling Yuji's body, appears behind him in a good mood, explaining that Yuji overused his power without a pact and cannot switch back yet; to prevent it, Sukuna rips out Yuji's own heart, takes it hostage, and eats the cursed finger found inside.

Sukuna, unconcerned since he can live without a heart but Yuji cannot, threatens Megumi's life while mocking Yuji's earlier fear of death. Megumi summons his flying shikigami Nue to attack alongside Divine Dogs, but Sukuna effortlessly cleaves them and kicks Megumi through multiple buildings, overpowering him completely.

Sukuna warns he won't heal Yuji's body if they fight, deeming him unworthy. Megumi recalls his sister Tsumiki, who was cursed despite being good, and reflects on karma, punishment, and the jujutsu sorcerer cycle, resolving to fight despite his depleting energy.

Sukuna finds this amusing as Megumi admits he doesn't want Yuji killed because he's a good person and he's never regretted saving him. Yuji suddenly regains control, thanks Megumi with final words of respect—thanking him as his savior who set him on this path—and tells him and the others to live long lives before collapsing dead with a smile, his heart removed.

Megumi breaks down crying in the rain. Meanwhile, at Jujutsu High, Gojo laments Yuji's death, realizes higher-ups orchestrated the mission to ensure it, and threatens to tear down their leadership in frustration.

Fushiguro and Kugisaki, mourning toughly, are interrupted when three upperclassmen—second-years Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki—introduce themselves and invite the first-years to a team-based interschool event called the Goodwill Event, since all third-years are suspended and unable to participate.
