Full recap
Cruz spends most of the episode embedded with Aaliyah’s circle in the Hamptons, while Joe and the rest of the team watch her from a yacht offshore and try to keep the operation under control. The episode also cuts between that surveillance mission and the fallout from an earlier border operation, plus a family crisis involving Joe’s daughter.
The team is stationed on a yacht and keeps eyes on Cruz, Aaliyah, and Ehsan as they move through a day of beachside socializing and party preparations. Cruz continues to work her way into Aaliyah’s trust, spending time with her and her friends, swimming, talking, and gathering personal information about Aaliyah and her family life. Aaliyah opens up enough to mention that she is uneasy about her arranged marriage to Ehsan, even though he seems kind and suitable.
Joe is pulled away from the surveillance when she learns that the team’s earlier extraction mission with Kyle has drawn unwanted public attention after multiple people were killed, and she reacts angrily to Kyle over the way the operation was handled. Kaitlyn and Westfield also confront Kyle about the border incident, pressuring him to explain who was involved and how the mission went wrong. Kyle admits to using the Lioness QRF team, which puts the group in jeopardy with their superiors.
At the same time, Joe receives devastating news about her daughter Kate, who has been in a car accident. The crash sends Kate to the hospital, and Joe is forced to balance that personal emergency with the mission she is still overseeing. This adds to the strain on Joe, who is already trying to keep the surveillance operation from slipping out of control.
Back on the mission, Cruz and Aaliyah go out with friends to a club, and Joe stays close enough to monitor them while remaining undercover. Cruz ends up speaking with a man at the club who buys her a drink, and he slips her something that causes her to pass out. As the club becomes chaotic around them, the man moves Cruz out of the crowd and attempts to isolate her.
Joe and the team realize Cruz is in danger and scramble to find her before the man can assault her. They track her down in time, stop the attack, and pull Cruz away from the man. The episode ends with the mission still intact but badly shaken, as both the field operation and Joe’s family life have been seriously destabilized.
