My Hero Academia Episode 105: The Hellish Todoroki Family

Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki continue their work-study training under Endeavor, who pushes them hard during patrols and combat practice. After a successful day, Fuyumi Todoroki calls Endeavor and asks him to bring Shoto and the other two interns to a family dinner, hoping to help reconnect the family.

Endeavor agrees, though he clearly worries about how the evening will go, and the group later travels to the Todoroki home for the meal. At dinner, the atmosphere is strained from the start. Fuyumi tries to keep things polite and welcoming, but Natsuo is visibly uncomfortable around his father and quickly grows hostile before leaving the table.

After the meal, Izuku and Bakugo help carry dishes to the kitchen. As they return, they overhear a private conversation between Shoto and Fuyumi, where Shoto talks about how he still blames their father for the pain and damage within the family, including what happened to his mother and the scar on his face. Fuyumi responds more gently, showing that she still hopes the family can heal, while Shoto remains unsure how he feels about Endeavor.

Bakugo bursts in and bluntly complains about the depressing mood, then goes back to the kitchen with the dirty dishes. Izuku then speaks honestly about what he thinks Shoto is feeling, suggesting that Shoto may want to forgive his father someday because he believes Endeavor has a good heart, but needs time to sort out those feelings. Both Endeavor and Natsuo separately overhear Izuku’s words, leaving the tension unresolved.

The episode closes with Endeavor visiting a memorial for Toya, reflecting on the family’s painful past.
