My Hero Academia Episode 106: The Unforgiven

Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto finish dinner at the Todoroki home with Endeavor and the family, but the evening turns dangerous when a villain who has been obsessed with Endeavor for years attacks and takes Natsuo hostage.

After dinner, Fuyumi explains to Izuku and Katsuki that Natsuo and the family’s absent older brother were very close, which helps frame why the atmosphere in the house is so tense. Endeavor escorts the students back out, and on the way they are still processing the complicated family situation when Natsuo steps outside for a walk.

The villain, who has spent years studying Endeavor’s life and past actions, has already learned where the Todoroki family lives and has been waiting for an opening. He ambushes Natsuo, seizes him, and uses his speed-enhancing drug to become even more aggressive. When Endeavor sees what is happening, he immediately recognizes the villain as someone he captured alive years earlier. The villain is furious that Endeavor did not kill him back then and now demands that Endeavor kill him this time.

The villain hurls Natsuo through the streets and into the path of Endeavor’s car, forcing the hero to react while trying to keep Natsuo safe. Endeavor is shaken and momentarily unable to act decisively, which leaves the situation to Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto when they arrive to help. The villain keeps Natsuo in front of him as a shield and sends cars flying, creating danger for nearby civilians as well.

Izuku uses Blackwhip to rescue civilians from the airborne cars, carefully lowering them to safety. Katsuki moves fast enough to intercept Natsuo at the last moment, and Shoto follows by stopping the villain’s attack and helping bring the fight under control. Together, the three students save Natsuo and neutralize the danger before the villain can continue his rampage.

Once the fight is over, the villain is arrested by the police. Endeavor then apologizes directly to Natsuo, admitting that he failed as a father, ran from his responsibilities, and let the family suffer for it. The episode ends with the Todoroki family grappling with the aftermath of the attack and Endeavor beginning to speak seriously about making amends.
