My Hero Academia Episode 108: My Villain Academia

The episode opens by jumping back two months and showing Tomura Shigaraki and the League of Villains traveling to meet a hidden ally they have been told to seek out: Gigantomachia, a massive man who attacks them as soon as he appears. He refuses to accept Shigaraki as a successor to All For One and dismisses him as too weak, which turns the encounter into a brutal fight.

The League struggles badly against Gigantomachia’s overwhelming strength, and the battle quickly makes clear that he is far beyond what they can handle on their own. A nearby radio then plays recorded fragments of All For One’s voice, which calms Gigantomachia long enough for the League to regroup and learn that the man they are fighting was once All For One’s personal bodyguard.

The doctor, Dr. Ujiko, arrives and takes control of the situation, bringing Shigaraki and the others to his laboratory. There, he shows them that he has been developing new, more advanced Nomu and treats the League as potential partners, while also making it clear that Shigaraki must prove himself if he wants support. The doctor’s challenge is simple: if Shigaraki can bring Gigantomachia under control, he will help the League move forward.

Back on the mountainside, Shigaraki and the others spend a long stretch trying to subdue Gigantomachia, but he remains nearly impossible to defeat and keeps fighting them relentlessly. During this period, Shigaraki becomes more determined and focused, taking the doctor’s test as a measure of whether he can truly lead the League.

The episode then introduces a second threat when Twice receives a call from Giran, who has been captured by the Meta Liberation Army. Re-Destro contacts the League and reveals that his organization is large, organized, and intent on crushing them first, before making its move on the wider world. He uses Giran as leverage and threatens the League into a confrontation, setting up a clash that Shigaraki begins to turn to his advantage by thinking about how to deal with both dangers at once.
