My Hero Academia Episode 125: Threads of Hope

Season 6· canon

Best Jeanist appears and spins together the hopes of all the heroes in this fight as the climax of the all-out war draws near.

Full recap

Best Jeanist arrives over the battlefield and immediately takes command, using countless carbon-fiber threads to bind Gigantomachia and several members of the League of Villains at once. He has just come back into action, and his timing forces the villains to react quickly as the heroes get a brief opening.

Before he jumps from the plane, Best Jeanist watches a prerecorded message from Dabi and realizes the villain had been waiting for a moment when the heroes could no longer stop widespread destruction and public faith in them had started to fail. He leaps down anyway, declaring that he will not let the League of Villains have their way and that they will “spin a Thread of Hope together.”

Dabi breaks free first and keeps fighting despite the restraints. A moment later, Nejire Chan charges in with Nejire Flood and tries to strike Tomura, but Dabi’s flames engulf her instead, horrifying Shoto and the others nearby. As Nejire falls from the sky, Dabi taunts Endeavor, saying another young person with a bright future has been burned by his flames, and he tears free from the bindings as well.

Tomura briefly comes to and orders Gigantomachia to destroy, giving the giant a surge of power that makes Best Jeanist struggle to hold him down. The pressure on the battlefield rises as the League regains momentum and the heroes’ control starts to slip.

Then Gigantomachia suddenly begins to lose strength and collapses, leaving the League confused. The episode uses that shift to show the heroes’ efforts gaining traction again, even though Dabi remains dangerous and Endeavor is still shaken by everything happening around him.

Before the fighting fully settles, the balance of the battle is still unstable, with the heroes clinging to a fragile advantage while the villains try to recover.
