My Hero Academia Episode 140: Specter

Star and Stripe’s fight with Tomura Shigaraki reaches its climax as she uses **New Order** and coordinated air support to try to kill him with a barrage of missiles and a massive aerial strike. Shigaraki survives the attack, gets close enough to touch her, and begins stealing her Quirk, but Star and Stripe counters with one final rule that makes New Order attack the stockpile of Quirks inside him, badly damaging him from within.

The episode opens with Star pinned in battle over the ocean, maintaining a laser-formed restraint around Shigaraki while her pilots keep firing to stop his regeneration. She coordinates the incoming **Tiamat** missiles with her air construct, timing the attack so the missiles can be seized and redirected at the last moment.

As the missiles close in, Star releases the lasers holding Shigaraki in place and redirects the strike. Her giant air construct then delivers a spectacular punch with the missiles in hand, triggering a huge explosion that tears open the ocean floor and leaves a massive crater. For a moment, the attack appears successful, but Shigaraki emerges alive, though badly burned.

The battle continues in close quarters as Shigaraki presses forward through the wreckage. He reaches Star and grabs her, initiating the theft of **New Order** while also spreading decay across her body. Star realizes she cannot win by brute force and chooses to use her last moments to set one final rule on her Quirk.

That last rule makes New Order turn against the other Quirks stored within Shigaraki, causing the power to attack and destroy a large portion of his accumulated abilities from inside. As a result, Shigaraki is left convulsing and badly destabilized while Star and Stripe is fatally injured and loses her Quirk. He ultimately escapes the battlefield, but not before being left weakened and forced to retreat from the immediate fight.
