My Hero Academia Episode 152: Together with Shoji

Spinner leads a huge crowd of heteromorphs toward Central Hospital, where heroes and police are desperately trying to hold them back with only a small defending force. The crowd’s anger at years of discrimination is boiling over, and the situation turns into a chaotic riot as the attackers begin coordinating and splitting up the defenders.

At the hospital front, Spinner is visibly unstable and unfocused, struggling to clearly express himself as he pushes the crowd forward. A former Liberation Front executive appears to amplify the mob’s resentment and keep the pressure on the heroes, while the defenders fight to stop the advance.

Present Mic and the other heroes hold the line, but the crowd keeps surging ahead. Spinner reaches the hospital entrance, forcing his way through as the battle around him intensifies and the defenders are dragged into multiple fronts at once.

The episode also cuts into Mezo Shoji’s past, showing the pain and isolation he experienced because of his appearance and how that shaped his resolve to protect others like him. That backstory directly feeds into his confrontation here, where he speaks out to the mob and tries to stop them from continuing the cycle of hurt.

Shoji stands with Koda and the other defenders against the approaching crowd, but the episode frames the conflict as more than a simple fight: it is a clash between people who have been wounded by society and those trying to prevent that anger from destroying even more lives.
